MEMORIAL DAY

>
> In a New York sidewalk, a Filipino is enjoying a hearty breakfast: coffee, croissants, toast, butter, jam, etc.
>
> When an American, chewing gum, sits next to him and starts an unwanted conversation.
>
> American: You Filipinos eat the whole bread?
>
> Filipino : Of course!
>
> American: ( Blowing bubbles with his gum) We don’t. In the States we only eat what’s inside. The crust we collect in
> a container, recycle, rebake them into croissants and sell them to the Philippines .
>
> American: Do ya eat jam with bread?
>
>
> Filipino : Of course!
>
> American: (Chuckling and crackling his gum between his teeth) We don’t. In the States, we eat fruit at breakfast, put all the peels, seeds and leftovers into containers, recycle them into jam and sell it to the Philippines .
>
> Filipino : Do you have sex in America ?
>
> American: Of course, we do!
>
> Filipino : What do you do with the condoms?
>
>
>
> American: We throw them, of course!
>
>
> Filipino : We don’t. In the Philippines , we put them into containers, recycle them, melt them down into chewing gums and sell it to America

I hope when I am dead that I shall lie
In some deserted grave–I cannot tell you why,
But I should like to sleep in some neglected spot
Unknown to every one, by every one forgot.
There lying I should taste with my dead breath
The utter lack of life, the fullest sense of death;
And I should never hear the note of jealousy or hate,
The tribute paid by passersby to tombs of state.
To me would never penetrate the prayers and tears
That futilely bring torture to dead and dying ears;
There I should lie annihilate and my dead heart would bless
Oblivion–the shroud and envelope of happiness.

THE STORY BELOW IS AMAZING. IT JUST HAPPENED RECENTLY.
NEWS FROM EGYPT:
A Muslim man in Egypt killed his wife and then buried her with their
infant baby and 8-year old daughter. The girls were buried alive! He
then reported to the police that an uncle killed the kids. 15 days
later, another family member died. When they went to bury him, they
found the 2 little girls under the sand - ALIVE !
The country is outraged over the incident, and the man will be
executed.
The older girl was asked how she had survived. "A man wearing shiny
white clothes, with bleeding wounds in his hands, came every
day to feed us. He woke up my mom so she could nurse my sister," she
said. She was interviewed on Egyptian national TV, by a veiled Muslim
woman news anchor. She said on public TV, "This was none other than
Jesus, because nobody else does things like this!"
Muslims believe Isa (Jesus) would do this, but the wounds mean He
really
was crucified, and it’s clear
also that He is alive! But, it’s also clear that the child could not
make up a story like this, and there is no way these children could
have
survived without a true miracle. Muslim leaders are going to have a
hard
time to figure out what to do with this, and the popularity of the
Passion movie doesn’t help! With Egypt at the center of the media and
education in the Middle East, you can be sure this story will spread.
Christ is still turning the world around towards Him!
Please share this True File. The Lord says, "I will bless the person
who
puts his trust in me."
(Jeremiah 17:7) Please spread the news. God bless you all.
Now I belong to Jesus, Jesus belongs to me, Not for the years of time
alone, But for eternity.

Revelation
|
I am so proud of my friends,
For all of them are
Genuine peace-prophets.
Each and every friend of mine
Rightly deserves
My heart’s gratitude-tears.
A real friend may be
Far, very far in miles,
But near, very near
In heart-smiles.
A new friend is a new hope-sea
Inside my heart.
A new friend is a new hope-sky
Inside my mind
Friendship openly persuades our minds
To do the right thing
And secretly convinces our hearts
To become the right person.
"Love is not a thing to understand.
Love is not a thing to feel.
Love is not a thing to give and receive.
Love is a thing only to become
And eternally be.
Three passions have governed my life: The longings for love,
the search for knowledge, And unbearable pity for the suffering
of [humankind].
Love brings ecstasy and relieves loneliness. In the union of
love I have seen. In a mystic miniature the prefiguring vision
Of the heavens that saints and poets have imagined.
Once in awhile,
Right in the middle of an ordinary life,
Love gives us a fairy tale.
With equal passion I have sought knowledge.
I have wished to understand the hearts of [people].
I have wished to know why the stars shine.
Love and knowledge led upwards to the heavens, But always
pity brought me back to earth; Cries of pain reverberated in my
heart. Of children in famine, of animals tortured. And of old
people left helpless. I long to alleviate the evil, but I cannot,
And I too suffer. This has been my life; I found it worth living.
So My Thoughts On Love Are…
Love is like swallowing hot chocolate
Before it has cooled off.
It takes you by surprise at first,
But keeps you warm for a long time.
The greatest thing you’ll ever learn
Is to love and be loved in return.

HIPPIE - A Poem by Flower Child

HIPPIE
We once made a difference
When did we change
Where is the passion
We showed at Stonehenge
Our anti war protests
Heard far and wide
Brought critics to base
And filled us with pride
Make love not war
Our stance of the day
Was written in song
And helped light the way
With love beads in hand
We danced to the beat
To bands like the Beatles
We knew no defeat
Where are we now
When hate is profuse
Where is the love
That once flowed so loose
One of my teachers had each one of us bring a clear plastic bag and a sack of potatoes. For every person we’d refuse to forgive in our life, we were told to choose a potato, write on it the name and date, and put it in the plastic bag. Some of our bags, as you can imagine, were quite heavy.
We were then told to carry this bag with us everywhere for one week, putting it beside our bed at night, on the car seat when driving, next to our desk at work.
The hassle of lugging this around with us made it clear what a weight we were carrying spiritually, and how we had to pay attention to it all the time to not forget, and keep leaving it in embarrassing places.
Naturally, the condition of the potatoes deteriorated to a nasty slime. This was a great metaphor for the price we pay for keeping our pain and heavy negativity!
Too often we think of forgiveness as a gift to the other person, and while that’s true, it clearly is also a gift for ourselves!
So the next time you decide you can’t forgive someone, ask yourself… Isn’t MY bag heavy enough?
And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
